Background

Ocado are a UK based online supermarket and the largest online food retailer in the world. Ocado was launched in January 2000 and started trading in partnership with Waitrose in January 2002.

Ocado delivered more than twenty-seven million orders since its launch in 2002 and has an average of 18,000 orders delivered every day.

Requirement

To design and install a produce and product transfer chiller the size of circa 1000 m³ for Ocado in North London. The room has two compartments: a chilled and an ambient area ideal for storing perishable and non-perishable goods.
