Here at Stancold, we recognise our responsibility to our local communities and there’s no time where this is needed more than over Christmas.
This year we threw our weight behind Clevedon Food Bank operated by The Trussell Trust, who partner with local communities in a drive to stop UK hunger, not just over the Christmas period but throughout the year.
As the festive period represents a much busier time for the usual volunteers, Stancold assembled a team of 9 employees who volunteered to help pack and sort the food, toiletries, gifts and other donations, ready for the Food Bank’s transport team to deliver directly to the homes of the people who need it most.
Alongside the volunteers, our members of staff also provided significant food donations and recognising the need for help throughout the year, we were delighted to make a financial contribution also.
Stancold’s food & drink specialist, Sam Taylor, said “it was inspiring to see the extent of the community spirit and support at a time where families need it most”.
Being able to get involved in the local community with our time, donations and financial contribution was a great way to bring 2018 to a close.
