Stancold’s work within the food & drink industry has spanned from modifying bottling facilities for gin distilleries to fire-rated testing laboratories for local bakeries over the last 70 years. Applying our technical expertise and experience in the field allows us to efficiently work closely to our clients’ varying project specifications, whatever the nature of their business.
We have done just that during a recent project in St Ives, as we have worked with a new client, a family-run craft confectioner, to modify their storage facilities on site.
Within an existing room, Stancold have installed a sub-dividing 60-minute fire-rated wall to create a separate area for the storage of their ingredients. Completed using the Eurobond Firemaster system of 100mm thick panels, the structure measures to a height of 6m on one site and 3m on the reverse, where the exposed material has been neatly capped. All remaining areas of the fit-out utilise Kingspan Quadcore for a hygienic finish. The installation also includes hinged personnel doors, where our design team and project coordinators have been working closely with the manufacturer to confirm the finer details at each stage.
