Stancold’s Ongoing Firewall Installations Across Wiltshire

Stancold’s work within the military sector will continue throughout the course of 2019, as we work with both a new construction contractor as well as the end user directly to construct fire-rated partitioning across two sites in Wiltshire.

While the garrison towns’ military facilities are undergoing refurbishment, we have been able to supply and install our firewall services on a number of occasions, namely to provide fire-rated separation partitions within their vehicle workshops and creche areas.

In Salisbury, Stancold will be working with a Hampshire-based construction contractor, a new customer, after we were specified for the fire-rated partitioning part of the works on site. Our firewalls specialist, Shaun Jones, has built a good relationship with the contractor, where they have worked together to amend design requirements in line with the end user’s needs.

Our expert team will install Eurobond Firemaster panels of 100mm thickness, achieving a 60-minute fire rating. This will be accompanied by fireboarding and firestopping to the head and sides to ensure continuous fire resistance of the installation.

Meanwhile, Stancold have also secured similar work directly with the end user. The team will be installing further fire-rated walls at Perham Downs, sectioning off several areas within one large vehicle workshop. The team will again install Eurobond Firemaster 100mm panels, a robust material providing superior thermal performance with minimal onsite handling required. This installation will be carried out in two phases to work within our client’s schedule.
