Stancold To Partition Four Warehouses in East Midlands

Stancold is due to begin the construction of ten industrial partitions in September, thanks to a successful, long-standing history with a main contractor.

“We first heard about the project in late 2021, but it always takes some time before a new build gets to a point where we can offer our services, even to a returning client. I am however always proud whenever our reliability as partners is repaid in kindness,” says Shaun, our firewalls & industrial partitions expert. This time the contract encompasses the construction of ten firewalls, dividing four large warehouses into 14 separate units of mixed-use.

While the project is still with Stancold’s design team, it is estimated to be over 1,400m² surface area. The system of choice for the FR60 walls is Trimo’s 150mm thick panels, which proved to be the best solution to the thermal requirements requested by the client.

“Our designers are working on amendments at the moment. New regulations have been introduced recently and a steelworks contractor was brought in by the client to work on constructing additional support for the partitions,” Shaun explains. The latest regulations set the maximum unsupported width for the walls to be 7.5 metres, which slightly changes the original drawings.

Stancold’s 75 years of commitment to delivering excellence has once again proven to be key. With such a long track of reliable, quality work, strong relationships built on trust within the industry are something we pride ourselves on.
