Stancold Secure Project for Landmark Costa Coffee Roasting Plant

Stancold are delighted to have been appointed as the Insulated Panelling Contractor for the internal fit out and fire rated partitioning of  Costa Coffe’s new £36 million roasting plant in Basildon, Essex.

Built on a 5.3 acre site, the new 10,274m2 roastery will become Costa’s premier coffee roasting site in the UK catering for rising nation wide and international demands for quality coffee.

The scope of works involves the creation of a large hygienic roasting area, fire rated partitioning of a 3 storey office area, panelling of a ‘Green Bean’ Silo Room, fire protection of associated workshops, storage and engineering spaces. The project requires approx. 6,000 m2 fire rated Kingspan hygienic wall panels, high specification glazed windows and numerous fire rated doors.
