Following on from the business’ recent success in achieving its carbon neutral status, Stancold is pleased to have now joined over 600 other businesses worldwide as part of the Climate Neutral Now (CNN) initiative, adding to our strong roster of industry-wide associations and accreditations.
This United Nations-led initiative was launched in 2015 and recognises additional voluntary actions taken in achieving a climate neutral world by 2050, as outlined in the Paris Agreement. As a tool, it works to promote and facilitate carbon footprint estimates, footprint reduction and compensation, otherwise known as offsetting.
Following the three-step process in their Climate Neutral Now Pledge, Stancold has worked to Measure, Reduce & Contribute, and thus, achieved Silver, Gold, Silver at each stage respectively.
The business will now produce reports annually, noting improvements made on the previous year and further actions that can be taken to strengthen Stancold’s commitment to sustainability in the industry. Ultimately, phasing carbon out of our supply chain and better supporting our clients’ journeys for carbonless construction remains the business’ goal going forward.
