Our commitment to supporting food and drink producers within the South West has spanned over the last 75 years and we certainly won’t be letting up any time soon. As members of Taste of the West, we continue to engage with local businesses across our home county, providing refurbishment and remedial construction services that allow them to achieve growth and continual development.
This, paired with our extensive work within the dairy industry, has allowed us to secure our next contract, where work is due to begin next month. Our client, an award-winning dairy producer in the heart of Dorset, is undertaking an extension to their existing production facility in which Stancold have been appointed to complete the internal fit-out. This includes all food-safe partitioning works, ceilings and accompanying doors to construct a low-risk area, high-care area, sanitising room and corridor.
Working closely with the project’s main contractor and designer, our food projects expert, Sam Taylor, was able to value engineer a solution that met both the dairy’s design specification and budgetary requirements. The build itself will utilise both Kingspan’s QuadCore panel system to maintain high food safety standards as well as Eurobond Firemaster for several 60-minute fire-rated partitions that are required for insurer approval.
Having worked on this site a number of years ago, the team are familiar with its layout and points for access but carried out site surveys to assess the task in hand and confirm that our recommendations were feasible.
The team are now busy co-ordinating plant, materials and construction drawings to ensure a smooth start on site in a couple of weeks’ time.
