Successful Start for Stancold CREST in Yeast Production Cleanrooms, Yorkshire

Stancold’s Clean Room Envelope Specialist Team are pleased to confirm another successful start on site in Yorkshire, where we are working with an award-winning construction firm to deliver cleanroom suites across a multi-level yeast production facility.

After being successfully appointed as the main contractor of the new-build plant, Stancold CREST then began negotiations with our client to provide costs as per the required specification, which included the Puracore and Kingspan Versatile cleanroom systems.

Our proven knowledge and experience of installing multiple cleanroom systems on projects has been advantageous in securing this fit-out.

Spanning three floors, our expert team will utilise Puracore’s cleanroom system to form fully flush areas that include airlocks, process labs and extrusion rooms, while flush doors and vision panels will complete the high-end specification. Similarly, further airlocks, unloading areas and separator rooms will use Kingspan’s Versatile system, leading to a total of 2075m² of composite panel used throughout.

Stancold CREST’s Senior Contracts Manager, Lee Duffield, commented: “This is an intricate build that has required a detailed programming schedule. Coordinating our works in line with the delivery and installation of the end user’s large manufacturing vessels, as well as a tight multi-level access plan, has been keen in ensuring a smooth operation on site. We have and will continue to work consultatively to achieve this”.

We look forward to updating you on this project as it progresses.
