Building on Stancold’s commitment to the UK cold chain industry for over 75 years, the business is pleased to confirm our appointment as internal fit-out contractor for three major construction projects that are taking place this quarter.
Forming part of the regeneration of the UK Government’s customs and border control strategy, Stancold will be working with the appointed main contractors and recommended sub-contractor partners at ports along the South & East Coast to undertake the internal fit-outs of temperature-controlled inspection areas, which include a number of frozen, chilled and ambient rooms.
Across the three contracts, our experienced installation team will be constructing more than 28,000m² of food-safe insulated and fire-rated composite partitions… the equivalent of 100 tennis courts! Over 75 doors will require Stancold’s seamless integration across the builds, alongside refrigeration, lighting and insulated freezer flooring.
With a requirement for sites to be fully operational by the start of 2022, the time-sensitive nature of the contracts has meant our co-ordination and design team are now moving at a rapid pace to ensure that the projects are delivered according to each programme.
