Stancold’s specialist fire-rated partitioning team are completing the finishing touches on their latest project in Lutterworth. The client, a property developer for warehouses and industrial buildings, trusted Stancold to provide the very best passive fire protection solutions.
Previously utilising main contractors for their projects, our client lead this project themselves, assigning specialist contractors to carry out their individual trades within the warehouse units. Prior to our work commencing on site, we coordinated with steelwork contractors to ensure that the secondary steel they were installing, corresponded with the planned positions of our partitions. Regular site surveys conducted by our specialist, Shaun Jones, ensured that we were on the same wavelength throughout the project’s design phase.
This project’s specification required us to install a series of main fire-rated division walls to divide multiple units into smaller areas. Fire-rated compartment walls were also necessary, and were installed to provide essential protection to office areas within each of the individual units. We used Eurobond’s high-performance Firemaster mineral fibre panel system, to achieve the desired 60-minute fire-rating across these areas. A vertical installation method was deployed in order to efficiently meet the requirements of the space, furthermore reducing costs.
The team have worked really well with both the client and other subcontractors on site to ensure a satisfactory project delivery so far. We look forward to working with the client again in the near future to create more high-quality, fire-rated environments for warehouse tenants.
