Stancold To Build Partitions for Three Carbon-Neutral Warehouses

Stancold’s firewalls & industrial partitions team is due to start a big contract in September as a part of a development forming a new industrial estate in Stevenage.

“Thanks to our ongoing partnership with one of the main contractors, we’ve been selected to install dividing walls in three newly erected warehouses,” says Shaun Jones, our expert. The buildings located in the northern part of town are expected to be delivered by the end of the year.

The units were all designed to be carbon neutral. As a part of this specification, Stancold had to adhere to strict specifications detailed in the project brief and engineer a solution that was highly thermal efficient, on top of its fire-rating capabilities.

“We’ve seen the u-values and thermal requirements become more important with every project we undertake. And rightfully so – the impact of the ever-growing warehousing industry on the environment cannot be neglected,” Shaun continues.

Sixty minutes fire rating will be achieved by using a 120-mm thick Trimo panel system. Our team will install over 2200m² of these, forming 17 walls of varying heights and sizes.

As the push for energy performance and BREEAM certificates continues, Stancold remains on the bleeding edge of engineering solutions for sustainable developments.
