As a Bristol-based business of over 75 years, it’s no secret that we’re extremely proud our South-West heritage. We’ve been able to develop strong relationships with clients across the length and breadth of the county and have continued to support them as they have embarked on new business ventures and strengthened their operations.
Therefore, we’re pleased to be working with a new client, a rare breeds meat specialist, in the heart of picturesque Devon, to transform their new-build production facility into a space that meets the required food safety standards of the industry and their operational needs. The scope of works sees the team forming 13 different areas of varying sizes, including high-risk and low-risk production, fresh meat storage, maturing rooms and deep chillers.
Recommended by the client to work alongside their preferred refrigeration partner, our dedicated food projects team have collaborated at length with the parties, the appointed architect and other contractors to revisit designs, quotations and a programme of works on site in line with an evolving scope.
This contract will utilise nearly 1000m² of panels from Kingspan’s Quadcore system, complete with its reputable food-safe laminate finish, as well as 23 doors, that vary from sliding hinged to personnel to accordance with the facility’s design. Stancold’s expert team will also undertake responsibility for concrete floors required within freezer areas, an element that forms part of our standard offering for this type of bespoke environment.
As the team make good progress into their second week on site, we look forward to updating you soon.
