Progress for CREST in Kent Cleanroom Extension Contract

Stancold CREST are making good progress in the south-eastern county of Kent, where our expert installation team have been working with a reputable interior fit-out contractor to complete an extension to an existing cleanroom.

The end user, a British pharmaceuticals manufacturer, has undertaken a new ground floor extension to their building and required an internal fit-out to increase the size of the current cleanroom. In order to maintain the facility’s ISO 8 specification, this included a seamless match to their existing system.

As an independent contractor, Stancold’s Clean Room Envelope Specialist Team have expert knowledge in a number of cleanroom systems that meet high-end specifications. It’s because of this that our pharmaceutical environments expert, Mark Kendrick, was able to instil confidence with the contractor that we were the right business to complete the works.

As Kingspan Precision was utilised in the existing cleanroom envelope and specified once again, our team utilised our close relationship to the system manufacturer’s own team to work together to provide costs. The extension design also required us to create a large removable section to ensure machinery could be moved in and out with ease.

With the first phase of works already successfully completed, the team will be returning to site next month to undertake works on the removable section and hand over the project.
