Stancold will be starting 2019 with a local project, completing an extension to a butchery production facility in Bristol.
Our client, a family-run business, have been trading for over 60 years supplying fresh meat boxes direct to customers’ doors. With vacant space available between the two units on site, Stancold’s food & drink specialist, Sam Taylor, has been working with the architect appointed for this project to develop a production facility extension. This comprises of three chiller units for the storage of their meat products.
Stancold’s installation team will be supplying and installing nearly 700m² of food-safe panels to form the chilled storage facilities on site. Using Kingspan QuadCore panels in this type of construction is ideal in being able to ensure a hygienic environment for food storage. This will be accompanied by hinged and sliding chiller doors, a single hinged personnel door and finally a one-hour fire-rated personnel door.
Alongside this, a one-hour fire-rated ceiling will be put in place to separate the offices above from the newly created production area and will be constructed out of Eurobond Firemaster Mineral Fibre panels of 100mm thickness.
Through site meetings with the client and architect, Stancold’s Sam Taylor and contracts management team were able to provide advice on the most suitable materials and design for the build.
The installation begins in January, and once complete, the client will have further production facilities available to continue to grow their business during 2019, having done so very successfully this year.
