Potato-Sorting Warehouse to Undergo Hygienic Fit-Out

We’re delighted to be working with an existing customer on a new project within the food industry this month. A successful regional construction contractor local to the site in Somerset, Stancold are collaborating together to complete the internal production fit-out as the end user becomes the sole supplier of potatoes to a major UK supermarket.

In undertaking this contract, client demands have requested the dated potato-sorting warehouse to be brought up-to-date, where Stancold’s installation team will complete the internal fit-out of white food-safe panelling.

To provide flexibility in being able to meet the end user’s needs and budget during the quotation stage, Stancold completed a cost comparison on materials to find the best solution. It was then agreed that the entire building would be installed with white hygienic sheets, fixed internally onto the frame of the warehouse as opposed to insulated panels. This would achieve the aesthetically-pleasing finish requested by the end user’s client and also takes into account the budgetary considerations of the project.

Alongside this, the team will be supplying and installing 100mm Eurobond Firemaster panels to construct an individual workshop on site, where non-combustibility of the facility was a key requirement for the end user.

We’re very pleased to have been working with local businesses on this project and are looking forward to continuing to do so further down the line as the site expands its capabilities further.
