If you are looking for advice on a new firewall project or considering passive fire partitions within your business, there is no better person to speak to than our new colleague Shaun Jones, who joined the team this autumn.
We’re very pleased to have another team member with so much experience in the construction industry. Shaun has worked in the field for over 35 years. He started as a carpenter and a joiner before progressing to a project manager, then contracts manager. His career path helps him to understand our projects from all angles and provide you with a better service.
In 1996, Shaun fancied a big change and emigrated to New Zealand. He changed direction slightly and moved into an architectural sales role, selling products related to the construction industry, with a focus on aluminium partition systems for interior fit-outs.
The green hills of home called him back in 2012 and he became a Business Development Manager, selling industrial steel partition systems and machine guarding around the UK.
Shaun was keen to work with Stancold because he wanted a more hands-on role where he could make the most of his extensive experience. He enjoys working closely with the end user and construction companies. When asked why Stancold really stood out to him, he said: “I really appreciate how passionate and enthusiastic Stancold are about their products and services”.
We’re pleased to say that Shaun easily matches our enthusiasm! He’s very friendly and easy to talk to and he’s quickly fitted into our team.
When Shaun is not travelling around the UK and helping people get their firewall projects started he’s got plenty of hobbies to keep him busy. One of his biggest passions is photography, particularly abstract and architectural (this will come in handy when he takes pictures of completed projects!). He’s even won an Australasian Canon photography award whilst he was living in New Zealand.
Now that he’s back home, he really likes to explore the UK and share its incredible history with his wife, who is originally from the USA. He’s also a keen Cardiff City football supporter and likes to relax by taking his dog Stella for a walk.
