As we’ve entered 2021, we’ve unfortunately faced another nationwide lockdown. Current times continue to be tough, both in the world of business and our personal lives. Fortunately for Stancold, we’re still able to operate at full capacity – we’re thankful that we can continue to provide essential services to our clients during this time. Our food projects team have been working with wholesalers, such as Riverford Organic, to help them adjust to increased product demand presented by the pandemic.
Recognising our continued growth within this industry, it was a sensible decision to expand the team. We are delighted to introduce Lucy Clarke, our new Apprentice Coordinator, who will be joining our colleagues in food projects.
Lucy is studying a Level 3 Business Administration course during her time with us. We’re looking forward to seeing how she develops her skills to assist in the coordination of projects within the food & drinks industry. As a coordinator she’ll be working with various different parties to organise logistics and ensure that all timescales and budgets within a project are met.
Although a new role for Lucy, her experience working in a variety of customer-based roles in the past has definitely helped her settle in. We asked Lucy more about why she chose an apprenticeship with Stancold – “University wasn’t for me. Gaining practical experience where I can actually implement what I learn is the main reason I chose this pathway. Working for Stancold, a company who operate in a rather niche industry, adds a new and exciting challenge.”
During her spare time, Lucy loves to volunteer and help out her local community where she can. Unfortunately, like many of us her plans have been disrupted by the pandemic. This however, has given her the opportunity to practise her cocktail-making skills at home – I’m sure the rest of the team can agree that we’d like to do a taste test in the future!
Lucy has settled into the team really well; we can’t wait to see how she progresses throughout the coming months.
