With over 70 years of experience in the installation of controlled environments, Stancold have developed strong relationships with a number of construction contractors within the industry. Being able to partner with new businesses is always very exciting for Stancold and we’re pleased to be doing so once again this Spring.
Stancold will be responsible for supplying and installing over 3,000m² of fire-rated composite panels, forming multiple walls and ceilings within a new building for our end user, a leading life science and technology company based in Dorset.
Stancold’s firewall specialist, Shaun Jones, met with the contractor on site several times to discuss different elements of the project, including additional extras and timings. Stancold’s flexibility and can-do attitude meant that they were able to meet the required installation time, therefore slotting in neatly into the contractor’s scheduled programme of works.
Once on site next month, the installation team will be constructing walls and ceilings out of Eurobond Mineral Fibre composite panels, of 100mm and 150mm thicknesses, in order to achieve fire ratings of 90 mins to two-hours. A selection of hinged and double hinged personnel doors with the same ratings will also be seamlessly integrated into the structures and accompanying firestopping to the head and sides for maximum fire integrity.
Our strong expertise in the full design, supply and installation of fire-rated partitions and our existing relationship with the end user worked favourably for Stancold in being able to demonstrate to the new contractor why our service is second to none. As LPS 1500: Issue 2 installers of fire-rated compartmentation systems, our team are able to successfully demonstrate their skills in this area across every project undertaken.
