Industrial Partitioning for a Plastic Recycling Facility Completed

Stancold’s industrial partitioning team is in the final stages of another project. This time we worked under the UK’s division of PJ Hegarty & Sons, the main contractor with headquarters in Ireland.

“After successfully delivering a big job in Hampshire, PJ Hegarty & Sons approached us for a project in a plastic recycling facility in North Yorkshire. Twelve-meter-high partitioning wall was commissioned to separate two areas of varying cleanliness,” says Shaun Jones, Stancold’s industrial partitioning & firewalls division expert.

Given that the build had no fireproofing requirements, Stancold suggested using the ever-flexible 175mm Kingspan Quadcore panels, which can be used in FR30 & FR60 configurations and for non-fire-rated specifications.

“This particular contract required a quick turnaround. Once the site was ready for our works to begin, our clients needed us to construct the wall in 10 days to guarantee the facility’s proposed delivery timeframe,” Shaun continues. With that stipulation, composite panels were the clear choice as a solution that allows quick installation and results in the least disruption out of the alternatives available on the market.
