Stancold are pleased to announce their involvement as part of a £10m food innovation centre build in East Anglia. Funded by the Government’s ‘Get Building’ fund, the hub will be available to food & drink manufacturers so that they can collaborate and develop new ideas through production and sensory testing.
Stancold’s dedicated food projects team will be responsible for the supply and installation of partitioning to form 13 internal units, ranging in size to suit the new tenants’ requirements. The team will also complete the construction of a ceiling spanning the entire area.
Due to the nature of the application where different tenants will operate in each unit, a fire-rated specification was required, so Eurobond’s Firemaster system with a food-safe finish was selected. This will achieve both the 2-hour fire-rating requirement and hygienic safety standards for food manufacturing environments.
As our co-ordination team are planning ahead to a start date on site of January 2022, material lead times and pricing guarantees have been a consideration to ensure a smooth delivery of works. Utilising our long-standing supplier relationships has been key to be able to meet the construction programme ahead.
With the team busy planning for this exciting project, we look forward to updating you on our progress in the New Year.
