Stancold’s installation team will be making the 140-mile trip to Chichester next week, after successfully securing another project within the food sector.
Our client, a family-run business, specialises in the wholesale of meats, delicatessen and dairy, supplying to the likes of pubs, schools and hotels across the UK. In order to expand their service offering and capabilities, it was only practical that they relocate to larger premises. Stancold will be responsible for completing the production facility fit-out which consists of two freezers, three chillers and a preparation area.
During initial negotiations, Stancold’s Business Development Manager, Sam Taylor, and Senior Contracts Manager, Sam Glover, met with the client on site to offer guidance and advice on the suitability of their needs. Several changes in designs were then made to accommodate their requirements and it was here that Stancold were able to recommend one of our approved contractors to complete other required elements of the build.
Our team on site will be installing Kingspan QuadCore panels of 50mm, 80mm and 125mm thicknesses to construct the food-safe areas, alongside a number of sliding chiller and freezer doors. They will also oversee the installation of the freezers’ insulated concrete floor while working around our client’s refrigeration contractor to achieve optimal temperature control. The works will be carried out under a mezzanine floor and around existing steel columns, where our experience within this field made our proposal more favourable than competitors’.
We’re looking forward to seeing the progress made throughout this build, but if you’d like to discuss your fit-out requirements further within your food & drink business, please get in touch with Sam Taylor on 07768 670 150 or send an enquiry here.
