If you’ve been keeping up-to-date with our social media pages, you would have already seen some of the team’s fantastic work from this interesting project. Working with an established UK main contractor, the expertise of Stancold’s food projects division has been requested to deliver an internal fit-out of a new food production facility.
Our team liaised with many parties involved in the project’s pre-construction and design phases, including organisations we’d worked with previously. Initially contacted by the project management company involved, we worked closely with them and the architect to truly understand the best solutions for this project.
It was soon determined that due to varying lead times associated with Mineral Fibre composite panels, negotiations for a new option had to take place. Upon confirmation from the client, we selected an alternative supplier, panel core and construction method that would still deliver a fire-rated fit-out. A PIR Hemsec system proved the best choice and is being installed using a fire-rated construction process. One-hour fire-rated partitions, fire-rated doors as well as ceilings are to be featured within the facility.
In order to reduce costs, our client was happy to make use of some readily available doors that worked effectively within the specification. We were happy to include these as part of our value-engineered approach.
Our Installation Team Leader, Ryan Thompson, has been keeping us up to date with progress on site at the facility located in London. It’s been fascinating to see the development of this build over the last few months. We look forward to showcasing future updates across our website and social media channels.
Patrick Ball, Stancold’s Divisional Development Manager, would love to discuss any upcoming project plans you may have. He’s available on 07768 670 150 or alternatively via email at pball@stancold.co.uk.
