Fire-Rated Walls & Ceilings for Industrial Park Development, Oxfordshire

This October, Stancold will be on site in Bicester to start work with a returning client, a West Midlands building contractor.

Having worked with this contractor on a number of similar projects, this installation will take place in a new 150,000 sq ft commercial warehouse as part of a large industrial park development.

The team will be installing fire-rated partitions to form an office space as well as a panelled suspended ceiling, an intricate element of the project where Stancold’s previous experience and expertise in this field will be most beneficial. Constructing in this way ensures that the required U-values to the office space are achieved.

In order to reach the desired fire rating of up to two hours, over 1500m² of Eurobond 100mm Mineral Fibre panels are being constructed within the warehouse. Ceiling suspension and firestopping will also be installed to ensure complete fire integrity.

Offering installation materials that are environmentally sustainable is important to us here at Stancold. The industrial units across the development have been designed to achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’ and we’re very pleased that our installation can contribute to this accreditation.
