Completion for Composite Enclosure Contract in West Yorkshire

Stancold’s expert industrial partitions team were pleased to complete the handover of a project in Wakefield prior to the festive break, following the successful construction of four fire-rated partition walls.

Working with a construction and civil engineering specialist for an end user dedicated to aluminium packaging innovation such as drinks and aerosols, our team were recommended by one of our supply chain partners as an alternative to jumbo stud work.

The fire-rated composite walls were required to enclose new specialist tanks which meant a tight programme of works in line with its delivery. As far as the ever-changing market allowed, our team successfully completed different phases of the project, ensuring that the tanks could be installed straight from importation from overseas.

As this was the first time that the contractor had used a composite system for a fire-rated partitioning project, Stancold’s Industrial Partitions expert, Shaun Jones, worked collaboratively to ensure that the design and specification matched the requirement. It’s this approach and Shaun’s depth of knowledge that sets Stancold apart from our competition.

Installing from a concrete bund which offers protection against hazardous leakage, our team carried out a vertical panel installation and accompanying firestopping to achieve the 60-minute fire-rated specification.

The team worked hard to meet this project’s tight programme of works and we look forward to completing further projects with similar challenges throughout 2022.
