Our expert knowledge of the different UK-manufactured cleanroom panel systems available on the market allows us to recommend the most suitable product to our clients based on their project specification and budget.
We’ve been able to utilise these skills effectively during one of our latest projects with a manufacturer of nutritional supplements in south Wales. Stancold will be completing the cleanroom fit-out of their new extension that adjoins their two existing buildings.
Following a recommendation by the project’s management contractor, Specific Environments, Stancold are responsible for the construction of all cleanroom walls, walk-on ceilings, vision panels, doors and 60-minute firewalls, totalling a whopping 7200m² of panels. Completion of the works will provide the client with a more streamlined production process, allowing them to accelerate manufacturing and utilise otherwise redundant space on their site.
The project follows an intricate scope of works to ensure that the new facility provides fire protection for the existing adjoining buildings. This, alongside our client’s budgetary requirements, meant that a number of different cleanroom panel system combinations were explored, as discusses in on-site design meetings and site surveys with Stancold’s projects team.
The works encompass three different systems; Kingspan Versatile for all cleanroom walls, Puracore Aluminium Honeycomb for walk-on cleanroom ceilings and the Eurobond Firemaster system as part of the vital firewall installation, with a fire rating of 60 minutes.
The existing facilities have complex steel structures, so our team will ensure that the fit-out is completed with accuracy and attention-to-detail, an aspect of the project that was carefully considered at the design stage. A number of openings will be created for doors and double-glazed vision panels installed as part of the fit-out specification.
This project will see Stancold on site for 15 weeks, where both the cleanroom installation team and firewall team will work in unison to complete the works efficiently, resulting in a finished product that achieves the client’s specification, timeframe and budgets.
