Noise-Reducing Industrial Partition Solution

PJ Carey Plant Hire

Background

The Operations Manager at PJ Carey Plant Hire used Stancold’s online budget calculator to get an initial cost estimate for a divisional wall, then booked a site visit so we could assess their needs in person.

Their Aylesbury workshop needed a partition to isolate one engineering area from the rest of the building.

Process

The Stancold team collaborated with PJ Carey to define the brief and design a suitable partitioning solution.

The Aylesbury facility serves as a maintenance and repair hub for their plant hire fleet, and the welding bay generated significant noise. The client wanted to build an industrial partition to reduce sound transmission across the workshop. Therefore, the partitioning solution did not have to include an entire fire-rated system.

Project Delivery

Stancold completed the partition installation across the Aylesbury site in five days, leveraging the existing steelwork to simplify and speed up the build while still delivering the required outcome.

We specified the Euroclad Mineral Fibre system to create the partition along with the necessary sealing. The panels were able to be installed vertically, given the height of the existing building. The installation also included a hinged personnel door to allow access to the facility’s welding area.

This was a very efficient installation causing little disruption to the client’s operations.
