ISO 7 Laboratory

Mildren Construction

Background

Following Stancold’s work with main contractor, Mildren Construction, for fire-rated and food-safe environments over the years, the group’s dedicated cleanroom entity, CREST, were invited to tender for the architectural cleanroom envelope construction of a temporary cleanroom in Southampton.

Process

The end user required a temporary cleanroom within their new warehouse space as a stop-gap solution for their future expansion.

The 180m² cleanroom had a requirement to meet ISO 7 standards, so CREST were able to specify a cleanroom envelope system best suited for this type of application.

The team continued to revise their proposal in line with design changes until the final order was agreed.

Project Delivery

The team utilised Kingspan’s Versatile system for the cleanroom envelope build, which included the integration of double leaf cleanroom doors and semi-flush vision panels to meet an ISO 7 standard.

CREST mobilised quickly to adhere to the proposed programme of works, co-ordinating our construction schedule in line with other trades working on site. Our dedicated team of envelope installers successfully completed the build in less than 2 weeks, leaving Mildren Construction and the end user satisfied with the works.
