FR60 Compartment Walls Across Two New-Build Industrial Units

Ventry Construction

The Brief

Ventry Construction invited Stancold to tender for the internal fire-rated whitewall package on a new-build project in Corby for which Ventry was the principal contractor.

This project was on our radar all the way back in 2022. Our team worked with Ventry through multiple rounds of retendering and final-stage negotiations.

Our Approach

Our scope included installing fire-rated partitions between the warehouse and the office areas on the first and second floors.

Stancold’s firewall expertise came into play in the project’s design, even before the point of order. Ventry were responsible for the steel support and called upon Stancold’s project designers to advise on their proper placement and where to include bolted steel plates for additional panel support.

Our involvement in the project’s design even before the point of order expedited the project’s process.

Delivery in Action

Stancold successfully delivered the design-and-build package of 150mm Euroclad Mineral Fibre panels and firestopping in both units to separate the respective warehouse spaces from the office areas. Due to the required height of the units’ walls, the panels needed to be installed horizontally.

This project also required our team to flexibly slot into Ventry Construction’s full scope of works, meaning our installation needed a phased approach. Our team have extensive experience comfortably fitting into our client’s full construction program, so this was no issue for us.

We worked with the principal contractor from the early stages. We're always eager to extend our expertise throughout the tender process.
