Butchery Production Facility Extension, Bristol

Background 

John Sheppard Butchers, a fresh meat supplier of over 60 years, constructed an extension using vacant space between their two existing buildings on site in Bristol. They required an additional three chillers within the newly-built extension for product storage.

Process

Stancold were approached by John Sheppard’s team to fit-out the extension with the three specified chilled storage units to support their growing business. As a fellow Bristol-based company, we’re proud to have played a part in this exciting development. Using our decades of experience within the food & drink industry, Stancold worked closely with the appointed architect to carefully design a suitable layout. Through comprehensive site surveys, we were able to provide advice on the most appropriate materials for the build.

Project Delivery

To meet the project’s needs, Stancold supplied and installed Kingspan Quadcore panels, constructing three hygienic and food-safe chill stores. These were complemented by robust hinged and sliding chiller doors, a single-hinged personnel door, and a one-hour fire-rated personnel door, ensuring both functionality and safety.

To separate the office space above from the new storage area, our expert team installed a one-hour fire-rated ceiling using durable Eurobond Mineral Fibre panels, providing an extra layer of fire protection.

Once again, the Stancold Food Projects team showcased its unrivalled technical expertise and deep industry knowledge, delivering a custom-fitted facility that meets the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Thanks to the seamless fit-out of their required food-safe, temperature-controlled areas, John Sheppard Butchers were able to scale up their operations into the new space.
