Background

Bakers of Nailsea is a small family-run retail butchery and abattoir based in North Somerset. Established over 100 years ago, the business supplies responsibly farmed, high-quality meat products to customers all over the Somerset and Devon areas.

Process

As a returning client of Stancold, on this occasion, we were appointed to create a dual-compartment chiller and production area equipped with an airlock system in order to expand Bakers’ existing butchery operation.

Our projects team was able to schedule the production in a way that did not disrupt their existing operation.

Project Delivery

Stancold installed a combination of temperature controlled areas complete with refrigeration.

This included two thicknesses of the Kingspan Quadcore panel system, self-supporting ceiling panels that are designed to comply with BS6399 for walk-on maintenance, 2 chiller doors, and strip curtains.

We handed over a fully equipped and operational state-of-the-art facility on the agreed deadline.
