Bottling Facility for Northamptonshire Gin Distillery

Last year saw the country’s pubs, bars, supermarket shelves and online shops filled to the brim with different varieties of gin, enjoyed with traditional tonic, sparkling mixers or even neat. From fruity flavours to bright colours, this popular trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

As product demand has gone through the roof for independent gin producers, we’re really pleased to be working for a Northamptonshire gin distillery as they modify their bottling facility on site.

During this project, Stancold will be partnering with a local fit-out contractor to complete the works, which includes the separation of operations in the client’s bottling area for packaging and labelling. Throughout the process, Stancold’s food & drink specialist, Sam Taylor, has taken a consultative approach to the project, providing advice on the most suitable materials, and particularly the finishes that are available. This has aided the client’s decision-making in choosing an appropriate food-safe panel system ideal for their packaging operations.

During site surveys with the contractor and end user, Stancold were able to offer guidance on some of the site restrictions requiring workarounds at the installation phase. Once satisfied with all elements of the build, the installation is scheduled to begin this month. The team will be building the facility using Kingspan Quadcore 50mm and 80mm panels, complete with a white food-safe finish to ensure a hygienic, low-maintenance environment. A sliding door will also be installed for easy access into and out of the unit.

We’re very pleased to be working with such a successful business within the spirits industry and are looking forward to sharing the finished result.
