Stancold are pleased to be working with a new client in the local area this month, further underpinning our commitment to the growth of the food & drink industry across the South West.
Our client, a fresh grocery delivery service provider, are developing a second site in Somerset as part of their expanding portfolio. For this, they require the bespoke fit-out of a chilled area to include intake, picking and despatch of sealed fresh food products.
Stancold’s dedicated food projects team have worked consultatively with the client to date to finalise a design and specification that fully optimises the available space within the new-build warehouse.
Through our trusted supply chain, we have been able to introduce our preferred refrigeration partner to our client, who will undertake the refrigeration works and will ensure that the temperature of the space remains at 2.5⁰C. The three parties met on site prior to order placement to ensure that the specification and build schedule was aligned.
Where works have commenced on site this month, our team are constructing an L-shaped area using the Kingspan QuadCore food-safe panel system, as well as the integration of chiller doors and strip curtains for internal segregation. The team will also create a bespoke hatch opening into the adjacent main office.
We look forward to reporting back on the progress of this project later this month.
