Introducing Adam Wenlock, Stancold Quantity Surveyor

The success of 2021 has allowed Stancold to grow in many areas and welcome great new talent to the company. Previously working with a freelance quantity surveyor, we’re now in a fantastic position where we can fully utilise an in-house role. We’re therefore very happy to introduce you to Adam Wenlock, Stancold’s new quantity surveyor.

Adam’s role within the business is essential. He covers a range of key areas that include – issuing monthly applications for payment, reviewing client payment notices & assessments, reviewing sub-contract documents and preparing/finalising our final accounts. This helps to ensure financial stability across projects and maintain a healthy relationship with customers.

We asked Adam what he’s enjoyed most about his role so far – “I thoroughly enjoy the pacing of the role. Whilst it can be incredibly intense at times, it feels as though the work has meaning and leaves an impact on the overall status of the project. The role is also varied and will expose you to all areas of the business, which in turn creates amazing learning opportunities and faster rates of professional growth”.

Before relocating from Essex to Bristol, Adam spent the majority of his professional career working for a bespoke joinery interior fit-out specialist in Suffolk, where he learned the core skills of a quantity surveyor. This experience has helped Adam settle into the business quickly and immediately become a valued member of the team.

Stancold stood out to Adam as a unique construction specialist, the systems we install as well as the industries we operate in, really appealed to him. Adam highlighted a particular fascination with our cleanroom division – Stancold CREST, explaining “there couldn’t be a more relevant business considering the current climate!”

As much as we love to hear about the job experiences and skills of our new team members, it’s great to also learn about peoples’ passions outside of work. Adam told us – “In contrast to the somewhat desk-bound nature of my profession, I actually really enjoy travelling and have recently started hiking! I’d like to plan a cross country hike in the future, when the UK weather permits of course!”

Adam has already built a great relationship with the team and we look forward to working with him going forward. If you’d like to discuss an upcoming project or have a general enquiry, give us a call on 0117 316 7000 or email sales@stancold.co.uk.
