Bakery Extension, Wiltshire

Background

Founded in 1984, Marshfield Bakery is an award-winning, family-owned business known for its exceptional baked goods. From over fifteen mouthwatering flavours of shortbread and flapjacks to a wide range of cakes and biscuits, their products have delighted customers for decades.

Thanks to the growing popularity of its offerings, the bakery has undergone three significant expansions over the past 30 years, cementing its place as a beloved name in the industry.

Process

This project required an increase in the capacity of Marshfield Bakery’s headquarters, by creating additional production and storage areas including an NPD room and a ‘drive-in’ chiller.

The Stancold Food Projects team collaborated closely with Marshfield to carefully schedule the installation, ensuring the extension was completed with minimal disruption to the bakery’s day-to-day operations.

Project Delivery

Stancold transformed the space by removing and disposing of outdated panels, installing food-safe walls in the new extension, and fitting a state-of-the-art walk-in chiller. These upgrades provided the ideal conditions for the launch of a new product line.

A testament to its excellence, the newly revamped bakery was officially opened by HRH The Countess of Wessex GCVO, marking a proud moment for Marshfield Bakery.
